Pope Benedict XVI has said that same-sex "marriage" and abortion are "among the most insidious and dangerous challenges" to society. See here. And the Unitarian Universalists promote both. As this website notes, Unitarian Universalists have advocated for many decades for same-sex "marriage." Unitarian Universalism, the article explains, "..advocates freedom for people to choose which sexual acts are morally and personally permissible, and to express one's sexual orientation and gender openly."And as this Unitarian Universalist...

Our Lady Immaculate Parish in Athol: Losing Their Religion?
Posted on 7:13 AM by Unknown

As I said in a previous post, "While the Church respects freedom of conscience and shuns any form of coercion, our Holy Father reminds us that, "We are building a dictatorship of relativism that does not recognize anything as definitive and whose ultimate goal consists solely of one's own ego and desires. We, however, have a different goal: the Son of God, the true man. He is the measure of true humanism. An "adult" faith is not a faith that follows...

"Without the media's support, humanism could not possibly have made such an overwhelming inroad into an entire society in such a short period of time
Posted on 8:12 AM by Unknown

In his book entitled "Images: Exposing Subliminal Attack in the Last Days," John W. Tranter writes, "Historian James Hitchcock states that the mass media is more responsible than anything else for the rise of secularism in our country. Without the media's support, humanism could not possibly have made such an overwhelming inroad into an entire society in such a short period of time...When we take a closer look at how our attitudes are altered,...

United Nations Promotes Prostitution as Harm Reduction
Posted on 10:17 AM by Unknown

Prostitution is a form of modern day slavery. Any decent person recognizes this. The Pontifical Council for the Pastoral Care of the Migrants and Itinerant People, had this to say back in 2005:"It is important to recognize that sexual exploitation, prostitution and trafficking of human beings are all acts of violence against women and as such constitute an offence to the dignity of women and are a grave violation of basic human rights....

"Totalitarianism arises out of a denial of truth in its objective sense..."
Posted on 9:33 AM by Unknown
In his Encyclical Letter Centesimus Annus, Pope John Paul II warned us that, "....totalitarianism arises out of a denial of truth in the objective sense. If there is no transcendent truth, in obedience to which man achieves his full identity, then there is no sure principle for guaranteeing just relations between people. Their self-interest as a class, group or nation would inevitably set them in opposition to one another. If one does not acknowledge transcendent truth, then the force of power takes over, and each person tends to make full use...

Has Barn2066 (AKA BAM) finally revealed his identity?
Posted on 7:38 AM by Unknown
For several years now, an anonymous individual referring to himself as "Barn2066" and also as "BAM" has left comments - or has attempted to do so - at this Blog and other Catholic Blogs covering the moral and intellectual meltdown in the Boston Archdiocese. This disturbed individual has accused me repeatedly of being a "self-loathing homosexual" because I both promote and defend the Church's authentic teaching (as expressed in the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican documents) regarding the sinfulness of homosexual acts as...

Let us strive for peace and not simply preach it...
Posted on 8:09 AM by Unknown
This past weekend at Holy Mass, a Deacon at Our Lady Immaculate Parish in Athol, Massachusetts preached on forgiveness and peace. This is the same Deacon who disrupted the Rosary I was praying just prior to Christmas Mass. The same Deacon who found it necessary to confront me with an insulting and sarcastic attitude in an attempt to humiliate me before others.Peace?Make no mistake about it, I have forgiven this Deacon. But we must give more than lip service to peace. We must strive with the help of God's grace...

More on Father Thomas Euteneuer from the parents of the young woman identified in his public "apology"
Posted on 6:07 AM by Unknown

"The Church can attest to the fact that there is a considerable body of documentation and evidence, both from third-party sources and the victims themselves, that contradicts significant elements of the public statement by Euteneuer regarding both the nature and extent of the sexual and psychological abuse Father perpetrated on his victims. Both Human Life International and the Diocese of Palm Beach have investigated the claims of our daughter (and...

Ontario panel discusses how to silence religious opposition to LGBT propaganda in schools
Posted on 6:20 AM by Unknown

Secular Humanism has all the characteristics of a religion. The Secular Humanist places man at the center of things. In the Humanist Manifesto II, which was released in 1973, humanists called for a new faith: "...traditional theism, especially faith in the prayer-hearing God, assumed to love and care for persons, to hear and understand their prayers, and to be able to do something about them is an unproved and outmoded faith. Salvationism, based...

Does D.J. Bettencourt really believe that conservative solutions are best for New Hampshire?
Posted on 12:44 PM by Unknown

New Hampshire House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt has been quoted in The Union Leader as having said that, "It is our responsibility [Granite State conservatives] to teach them [young people] why conservative solutions are best for New Hampshire." See here. And yet, Rep. Bettencourt has also expressed his belief that any debate on repealing same-sex "marriage" should be put off until next year so that "full and undivided attention"...

The New Hampshire and House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt get it wrong
Posted on 7:33 AM by Unknown

The editorial staff of The New Hampshire, an independent student newspaper at the University of New Hampshire, are upset over two bills currently before the New Hampshire House: HB 437 and HB 443. Both would ban same-sex "marriage" in the Granite State. In an editorial which may be found here, the bright lights of The New Hampshire, suddenly concerned with the economy (a concern which was noticeably absent when legislators were pusing for same-sex...

A message from Karen Testerman: "Let's preserve marriage"!
Posted on 9:33 AM by Unknown

I received an email from my friend Karen Testerman this morning. Karen is asking us to make our voice heard and to let the HJC know that we support the repeal. She writes:This, Thursday, February 17th, the House Judiciary Committee will be hearing two bills to repeal the state's same-sex marriage law. Both HB437 and HB443 will have the public hearing in Representative Hall inside the State House at 10 AM. The Judiciary Committee members...

Prophecy regarding Ireland in a vision given to Saint Patrick being fulfilled in our time?

An obscure book entitled, "The Most Ancient Lives of Saint Patrick Including the Life by Jocelin, Hitherto Unpublished in America, and His Extant Writings," recounts a remarkable prophecy which was given to Saint Patrick in a vision. Chapter CLXXV of this work explains that, "The different States of Hibernia* are in a Heavenly Vision shown unto the Saint. And the man of God anxiously desired and earnestly prayed that he might be certified...

Signs: Cardinal O'Malley to tell Pope Benedict XVI that Catholic Church in Ireland is on brink of collapse

It was Sister Lucia (of the Fatima apparitions) who said, "the Virgin knew that these times of diabolical disorientation were to come" and who wrote, "Let people say the Rosary every day. Our Lady stated that repeatedly in all her apparitions, as if to fortify us against these times of diabolical disorientation, so that we would not allow ourselves to be deceived by false doctrines...Unfortunately, the great majority of people are ignorant in religious...

California lawmakers are proposing a law that would require schools to portray homosexuals, lesbians, transsexuals and those who have chosen other alternative sexual lifestyles [pedophilia?] as positive role models to children in all public schools. The Campaign for Children and Families warns that under this proposed legislation, "children as young as kindergarten will be taught to admire homosexuality, same-sex 'marriages,' bisexuality, and...

"We need to stop lying to each other..."
Posted on 7:25 AM by Unknown

In one of his last homilies, Archbishop Oscar Romero, the martyred Archbishop of San Salvador, said: "A preaching that does not point out sin is not the preaching of the gospel. A preaching that makes sinners feel good so that they become entrenched in their sinful state, betrays the gospel's call. A preaching that does not discomfit sinners but lulls them in their sin leaves Zebulun and Naphtali in the shadow of death. A preaching that awakens,...

In the comments section of a previous post, Mr. Michael Cole noted how, "Homosexuals, lesbians and transsexuals are often afflicted by evil spirits. Gender confusion is often a sign of demonic possession. Fr. Malachi Martin recounts the story of a possessed transsexual in his bestselling book "Hostage to the Devil." In the chapter titled "The Virgin and the Girl-Fixer," he writes, "At one moment, Father Gerald, the exorcist, was bending over the...

"My people perish for want of knowledge..."
Posted on 7:10 AM by Unknown

Vatican II, in its' Decree on the Ministry and Life of Priests (Presbyterorum Ordinis) No. 4, tells us that: "The People of God are joined together primarily by the word of the living God. And rightfully they expect this from their priests. Since no one can be saved who does not first believe, priests, as co-workers with their bishops, have the primary duty of proclaiming the Gospel of God to all. In this way they fulfill the command of the Lord:...
